The Bear Calendar originated from a simple problem: The BIG BUOY CLUB team wanted to go on vacation!

But we wanted to try a bear event that we hadn’t gone to before, and finding what events were out there was proving to be difficult. Other bear event guides were incomplete, so we were left to scrounge Google to see what we could find. We’d click on a bear event website, only to find that we’d just missed it. We’d try to identify bear bars in a possible destination city so we could check their event schedules, but they weren’t always available or up to date. It was doable, but the process was very time consuming and frequently frustrating.

We knew there had to be a better way. So the folks at BIG BUOY CLUB started the Bear Calendar, in the hopes that if we build it, they will come. Our goal is to become the premier source for bear events happening anywhere in the world, where event organizers can easily submit their events to the calendar, and people looking for an adventure can easily find something new!
